Kathryn S. Render is of counsel at Chackes, Carlson & Spritzer in St. Louis, Missouri where she practices employment law.  She graduated from St. Louis University School of Law in 1989.  From January 1991 through August 1992, she was the law clerk for U.S. Magistrate Judge William S. Bahn.  Afterwards, she taught Legal Research and Writing at Washington University School of Law.  She began practicing employment law as an associate at Mary Anne Sedey and Associates.  Since January 1997, she has been a sole practitioner representing employees in negotiations with their current or former employers, in litigations in state and federal courts and in private arbitrations.  She is the immediate past President of the Eighth Circuit chapter of the National Employment Lawyers Association (NELA) and a past President of the St. Louis chapter of NELA.  She is on the executive board of both organizations.
